National News: There is currently some stagnation in the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. On May 10, a ceasefire was officially announced between the two countries, but a few hours later, Pakistan did not desist from its nefarious antics and tried to attack India through drones and missiles, which the Indian Army completely failed. All drones and missiles were destroyed. But the question is which turn was it, after which both countries agreed to stop firing?
May 9: India's decisive reply and Pakistan's retreat status
On 9 May, India gave a befitting reply to Pakistan's attacks. The Indian Air Force launched an aerial attack on terrorist bases in Pakistan. Action continued from India on the morning of 10 May. After this decisive action, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio contacted Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir and inspired Pakistan to negotiate. After this, Rubio, Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S.K. Talked to Jaishankar and told that Pakistan is ready for talks.
India clearly stated that any talks will be held only at the DGMO General of Military Operations, no third party mediation will be accepted. Pakistan's DGMO sought time from the Indian counterpart on May 10 at 1 pm.
It is important that India had informed Pakistan on 7 May that it had targeted terrorist bases within the Pakistani border, but Pakistan did not react.
On May 10, at 3:35 pm, there was a conversation between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan. A few hours after this meeting, the two countries announced to stop firing and airstrikes from 5 pm. Shortly thereafter, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between the two countries. Subsequently, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs also confirmed it at a press conference.
At the Joint Press Conference of the Indian Army on 11 May, DGMO Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai said that a few hours after the May 10, Pakistan once again violated the ceasefire. Firing started again from the Line of Control (LOC).
Rajiv Ghai said, "We immediately sent a hotline message to the DGMO of Pakistan and clearly stated that if the consent on May 10 was violated, we will give it hard and decisive reply. The army chief has given us full right to take action at every level."
The ceasefire has come into force, but India is completely cautious given the old habits of Pakistan. The Indian Army is ready to deal with any situation and this time the answer will be "decisive". India has clarified that despite the frequent violations of Pakistan, it will not compromise on its safety and is fully prepared to face any unexpected situation.
